One more dodo boys and girls!

(Right) Our handsome boy Schisser (dark tabby/white) hasn't visited in a little while.  He's in once again with his sister Tiny.  People often question whether or not the cats are able to remember things.... Well, I can remember that Schisser here loved hanging out on the top of the big red phone booth the last times that he visited.  Both kids are doing great.  Nice to see them both again.
(Left) This is another very easily recognizable furry face.  Twiggy (tortoise shell) is visiting for her 2nd time.  This pint sized adorable little Miss is rather calm and gentle and loves her neck scratches.  She's often found in the tree houses during the day time.
(Right) Another long time B&Ber.. This gorgeous calico is Cordillia.  She has the plushest fur coat of any kitty.  She has gorgeous markings and is on the quieter side, when it comes to being around the other cats.  She's often found lounging inside of one of the phone booths or tucked away, where it's oh so cozy, inside a haybail like this.

(Left) Hi kids!  There's my Peanut (grey/white, lower) pie and his sweet girlie friend Olivia (grey/white, top boat).  Both of these kitties can get into their energized states, without much coaxing... Both are good climbers too.  Olivia tends to climb way higher than Peanut normally does.... He has always loved racing up the carpeted trees.... and doing his summersaults, once he's at the top.
(Right)  TobiTobias (grey/white) is a schmoozie little lad... He's all about body twirls, head butts and neck scratches.. He's expected to return home this week.  He and Frankie like to spend time together.  He also enjoyed getting to know BooBoo the bunny, from yesterday.

Oh goody! Another party coming this weekend!

(Left)  Shadow (black) and her sister Salem, below, have returned for another vacation.  So many black kitties in, these couple of weeks.. Shadow is a bit independant and reserved around new people.  She often takes up temporary residence in one of the tree houses.. Her sister is the social butterfly of the family.  Both girls are doing great and keeping busy 'cat-watching'.... So much fun!
(Right) My adorable little Portia (grey) is looking forward to hearing all about her mom's big adventures on her current trip... This little cutie has spent many a Christmas with all of her friends here.  It would appear that she's made a few new friends this visit... They are a colorful duo... I wonder what language they speak!
(Left) BooBoo Bunny and his sister Max the calico, left yesterday.  I was commenting to their family that Boo here, seems much happier and calmer since he's had a big change of diet... He isn't the cuddliest buggsie that I know.... but I couldn't help mention that he didn't once charge at my hands, when I was setting his cage up each morning... Well done Boo!  We'll keep those veggies rollin'....
(Right) Well, little Miss Trudy here, has been good as gold for me, since she arrived... She and her mom have become best pals lately... Trudy even helps her mom with her morning stretching regime... I'm sure that many cat owners have had the pleasure of their little furries doing the same thing... When she sees her mom's floor mat come out, with her mom lying on it, it's an open invitation for some lovin'..... Remember kitties... When the legs get raised... they eventually have to be lowered... Perhaps you could find another place to do your own back stretches..... that isn't directly underneath a human appendage!  For safeties sake and all!  No.  Really Trudy!  I'm not making that up!
(Below) And a couple more black kitties, makes 4 for the day...  Salem (in balloon) is the sister of Shadow, above.  This rambunctuous little bundle of energy, enjoys sleeping in her hot air balloon.... when she's not doing her relay race & laps, around the whole group... That's our little charmer Mimi (orange/white tabby) surveying the mornings events, before he winds down for his snooze... Our handsome big boy Eclipse (left of Mimi) is never that far from his friends... He and Mimi have chummed together before.  If Eclipse could climb higher up, he would.  So many kitties will be ringing in the New Year with their old pals....

Bellies up!

(Left) My little tiger Mirette (calico) was feeling very much in the Festive mood... She just wanted to lay around, relax and enjoy the music all afternoon... or watch BigBird1... That's even better than a movie!  We aren't quite sure yet if my adorable Mirette will be spending New Year's with us, or with her family.  She's always welcome.. What ever she decides...
(Right) My gorgeous Zaria (white) was being her playful self... She thought that this pic would make a cute post card for her folks... 'You just try to figure out which way to hold the card!'  Always the clever, cheeky girl.... 'Did I fool them?!  Did I. Did I!  Gee, I don't know ZarZarBean... I'm guessing your folks have seen this pose one too many times, to be out smarted by it!
(Left) EssieWes (black/white) doesn't mind looking at the world upside down either.... Sheesh... I was starting to think that the turkey hangover was still in effect.  So many sideways kitties!... This little cutie will be returning home to her mom today... I'm guessing that those won't be Christmas songs that she'll be singing for me on the drive there.... This is one crazy little Miss... She'll be ready for a snooze after all of the Holiday excitement....
(Right) My little Tessie Wessie (dark tabby) went home earlier today, during the flurry of morning drop-offs.... She had a fab time with her buddies... This handsome boy is Lefty... He and his brother Frankie may be returning home this week too.  I say maybe, because people's plans have been changing quickly this holiday season... If it isn't snow-ins & outs in Europe, it's snow-ins & outs in the Maritimes.... Oh, what fun to travel at this time of year!
(Left)  I guess that people could get all stressed out about their travel interruptions... but I'm betting that Gizmo's (grey/white tabby) dad is taking the whole thing in stride, like his handsome boy, here.  As long as my little WizKid Gizmo has a heated, cozy spaceship to chill in, he's good to go, anytime that his dad is...

Now that the sleigh bells have faded from ear shot... What should we do now?!

(Left) Our handsome boy Jasper (black) never gives up... Always so near... and oh, so far!  Bigbird2 had a great time entertaining his furry admirers this Christmas Holiday... He does every year.  I think Jasper needs to change his tactics.. how about offering our feathered friend a bowl full of cherries?!  You never know.  It just might work!  BigBird is my little guy... and, I can be completely motivated by food... If that fails, a Starbucks chair always works!  Jasper is just gonna have to find BigBird2's weakness..
(Right) There's GinGinny (black)... My gorgeous girl Ginny popped out of the mainstream hustle and bustle, and tucked herself away, inside of the rocket.... Just like when Christmas shopping gets a bit too much... it's always helpful to make yourself 'invisible' for an hour or two.... This cutie is having a great time with her old buddies...
(Left) There's an adorable face we haven't seen in a while... Juliette (tortoise shell) is back for another Christmas Holiday... She's taken over her favorite castle... I kinda expect that she's got a roaring fireplace and christmas tree of her own, set up in there.... She must not have a kitchen though... cause I spot her regularly coming out and having a nibble and beverage.... She's wishing her mom lots of snow for skiing... See you next week!  Have fun!
(Right) Oh Gingko Maria (black)... I caught you out again.... My gorgeous girl Gingko has been touring all of her favorite locations this month... as I expect that her family have been exploring theirs too.... We send out a big Hello to her mom and family..... Happy New Years!  See you again next year!
(Left)  Well, it's not a very clear picture of our adorable little Leanna's face (dark tabby), but you get the picture... After a nice meal, it's always preferable to do a 'tidy-up'.... She and her sister Carabelle are expected to return home this week.  This little cutie has been enjoying her favorite hot air balloon.. Often all that you can make out, is a tuft of fur, barely visible along the basket's horizon... She curls up into such a tight, furry ball, she's easy to miss, as you walk by.

Miracle, Summer and Solstice looking for their Forever Home.

Domestic Medium Hair-Black & White Mix Female: An adoptable cat in Ottawa, ON

I am Miracle. Me and my two little sisters Summer & Solstice were born April 19, 2010. Our mom is Tuxedo-1. She and her sister Valentine were known as the Tuxedo twins. Our Aunt Valentine's children are our cousins: Mozart, Vivaldi, Pachelbel and Bach.

My sisters and I were born in a mould-infested filthy crawl space of an abandoned house. When our foster found out that our hole to our home was going to be plugged up and the abandoned house was going to be torn down, she spent a lot of time stalking us and eventually caught us to save us. We went to another foster, but our mom and one of our sisters escaped. A weeks later, our sister Miracle was found - starving and lost - and was able to be caught again. She was found on Summer Solstice, so that is how we got our names: "Summer", "Solstice" & "Miracle".

I am probably the most mischievous and curious of my sisters, which is why I followed my mom when she escaped out the window. But after I did, I lost my mom and it was not fun out there all by myself. I had no food and no water and no one to play with.

It poured with rain and I was wet & cold. I was so happy that I was found again, that I am now inseparable from my foster. I love being patted, cuddled and being scratched under my chin and on my belly. When she stops patting me, I use my paw to get her attention so that she doesn't stop.

We all have beautiful super shiny black & white coats and we are very cute.

I sleep on top of my foster as well. I love playing with my sisters. We have so much fun chasing each other, the ping pong balls and the other toys. We get a lot of exercise, so we sleep a lot! My sister Solstice and I are like twins. We look the most alike, we sleep together and suckle on each other - we still miss our mom. I'm the only one with an all-black nose. I look the most like our mom - in fact I could be her double.

Our mom was not found again, so we only have each other now. We love to play together all the time, and we love playing with other big cats too.

If you can give Miracle, Summer and/or Solstice the love and attention that they need, please contact Cat Rescue Network or p
lease visit the CRN website at www.catrescuenetwork.ca to see all the kittens and cats currently in foster homes awaiting adoption.

The milk and mouse shaped cookies are laid out....

(Left) 'Knock, knock... Is Santa in here!?!  I know it's not night time yet... but, it is our sleepy time... Just wanted to make sure that everyone is ready for the big night!'... Little charmer Percy (dark tabby/right) is an inquisitive one.. and loves to make friends where ever he goes... He popped in on adorable girl Max (calico) and our handsome boy Cordy (dark tabby/white, lower).
(Right) Aah.  This is the life!  Sophie (dark tabby/white) is a hamm at the best of times... even without the camera's attention... Yep that's our little cutie... Stressed Right Out!  Wow.  Wish we could all take the Holidays in stride like my little Miss here.... Well done Soph!
(Left) Oh yes.  The gangs all here!  Everyone's doing the siesta thing... in hopes of staying awake long enough to hear the reindeer... We have a big flat roof at the B&B... makes for easy landing... That was a prime consideration when I chose this location for the kennel.  In his favorite basket is our handsome boy Jak (dark tabby/white).  That's Frigo (black) and our little cutie Mally (dark tabby)... If anyone is gonna hear something tonight... it'll be her.... with her finely attuned built in radar system... all eyes will be on her tonight...
(Right) Leo (grey) the Lion!  My handsome Leo is having a great time with his old buddies... Being a single kitty at home, he loves to romp about with Eclipse, Esmeralda, Tuckie, Sweetie, Jasper.... I could go on and on... He loves to play with his buddies...

(Below) Well.  There's my handsome boy Javert (white/dark tabby) doin' the Javert thing... He's usually seen in various stages of either head butt-ing something or giving himself a big neck scratching... If my head or hands aren't available, he'll use the next closest thing...I just found out that our adorable boy Mimi (orange/white tabby) is from Morocco... I didn't know that.. He's certainly adapted well to Canadian life.. We weren't sure if we were gonna see him this Christmas... The trip was on, then off, then on... I'm glad we got to see you again big guy!

The 12 cats of Christmas....

(Left) There's my handsome big jelly bean, Simba (fawn/white tabby).  He and his brother Gizmo arrived this week.  Can't you just see how timid and shy this handsome big boy is?!?  Ya right!  Not this puddytat!  He's all about attention and affection... When there's some on offer... he'll be at the front of the line every time...Don't ever change Simba!!
(Right) Another handsome orange fellow.  Spencer here, is visiting with his brother Javert again.  Now this is one boy that can be a bit shy with new people but once he knows you, he is a schmooze, just like almost every other male orange tabby... He's nice and relaxed with his feline friends.  He's known most of them for years...
(Left) Olivia (grey/white tabby) arrived this week.  So far, she's been hanging out on top of the town house roofs... She loves height... but will generally gravitate towards the tall red phone booths... or the bridges.. She sends out a big Hiya to her folks in the sunny south... 'Don't forget the sunscreen!'
(Right) Cory (white/dark tabby) is right back in the swing of things... with all of his bosom buddies... He's not that fond of the camera flash so he knows to divert his head and eyes, just before you click... A second later, he'll look right back at you with those big perky eyes... He's known most of my current guests for many years.... They'll have lots to catch up on...
(Left)  As I type this, my little ChouieChouChou (orange/white tabby) is talking in the room behind me... Choufleur arrived before a lot of his friends and managed to stake out the Rainbow for himself... That's where he likes to sleep... When he's awake... you have to find him... but with his voice, it's never a long search... He just always has so much to say... He's a cutie!

As my 10th year begins....

(Left) This handsome big boy is Axel (silver/white tabby).  I don't often find him play wrestling with the other cats.. but, he remembered Sweetie from other visits and they were 'cat & mousing' it since Axel's 2nd day in.  I've noticed big changes in this boy, this visit.  He's way more social and out going with the other cats.  He's having a great time.
(Right) Well, Zapata (orange tabby) arrived just this afternoon.  Zaria is also back for more Christmas festivities with all of her buddies.  Our charmer, Zapata, seems to have a bit of a crush on our gorgeous girl ZarZarBean....He's already following her around and trying to admire her from up close...
(Left) More gorgeous kitties.... Lola (dark tabby) is a confident, social and affectionate girl... Sometimes you have to be careful where you're walking, because she's 'stop, drop & roll' onto her back, at a moments glance... She's having a great time with Sweetie & Jasper... She's met both of them on previous visits...
(Right)  These 2 handsome big boys arrived this afternoon as well... Frankie (black/white, top) and his brother Lefty (black, lower) fit right into any situation... no time to waste... They are adaptable and schmoozie... They will be Christmasing with us once again... I'll add a couple more place settings... (That sounds better than 'I'll add a couple more mice to the pot!' .. it's just an expression that we use around here... Absolutely no animals will harmed at the B&B during our festivities!)
(Left) Ares (orange tabby) and Xena (black/white) aren't often seen playing together, while here, but I'll bet they do lots of that at home...Ares spends his time horsing around with his old friends... but, there's nothing like snuggling up close to your sis, when you're ready for a snooze.... These kids have been coming in since my early days in business... By the way.. I had my 10 year anniversary yesterday... What fun it's been!  and, what a treat for me, to get to know so many of these kitties that long!

Tuesday December 21st.. and all is well..

(Left) This gorgeous big white girl is Jade.  She, and Zaria, who is also a lovely white girl, have often holidayed at the B&B, on the same weeks.  Jade loves her airplane.... seems her folks do too... We are both hoping that their travel wasn't disrupted with the snowy weather over seas... This is one plane that won't be airborn for the Holidays...

(Left) Oh HI Frigo (black)!  You sure are a tall handsome kitty when you are standing in the air like that.... Frigo loves the airplane on the 2nd floor... so many cats that love to fly.... I think it's too bad that they weren't created with wings attached... They would've loved that!  I guess, in all fairness to our feathered friends, it's best this way!

(Right) There's my gorgeous girl TessieWessie (dark tabby/white).. Sounds like this cutie is loving the country life... but I guess she doesn't get alot of feline companionship at her new home... That's ok.  She sure makes up for it when she's here.... Always great to see you again Tess!
(Below)  There's my adorable girl Joya (dark tabby/white).  She has visited a  few times this past year.  She usually ends up on this bunk bed or on top of her Pirate Boat..  She isn't usually spotted playing with the other cats.  She's a bit independant but she sure enjoys watching what they get up to...

Can you hear Sleigh Bells in the distance?

(Left) Eugene (orange tabby) and Jane (dark tabby) took advantage of the gorgeous sunny morning to do a little suntanning... These two kitties have met on previous visits... Our handsome Eugene just went home earlier today.  Gorgeous girl JanieBean will be hanging around for all of the Holiday Festivities....

(Left)  This adorable little boy is Jasper (black)... for those people that are dropping off in the next few days, you are likely to hear his very distinct meow... at the bottom of the stairs.. unless he's too busy with his buddies that is... but he often comes down to the closed door to meet the newcomers...

(Left) I found Pippins (black/white) in the red phone booth, putting in a call to the family, to make sure that they arrived safely... This handsome big boy is such a gentle giant... Each visit, he finds new favorite snoozin spots...   He has only been visiting us since this year, but has already met and made friends with many of my regular guests..

(Left)  Oh Sweetness (Siberian) .... I hope you put a parachute on before attempting to walk across the top length of the airplane like that.... and, If you ask some of your long time buddies... I'm sure that they will be able to show you some easier and safer ways into the airplane...That's my boy Sweetie!  Always the adventuror...  I must pick him up some kitty flying goggles... With that long maine of his, they will help to keep the hair and wind out of his eyes while he's up there....
