More Birthday Girls!

(Left) I figured that this would be the perfect day to introduce my  new employee, Andrea... especially seeing as how it's her Birthday today.  She's been at the Pet B&B for a few weeks already and I think she must be guessing... When do I start 'working' with the animals?!  That's a good question... So far I've been busying her with wall drawings, paintings and co-creation of our new wall murals and designs... and, we haven't even started the 'fun' stuff yet... fun for me anyway... building stuff!  Gotta love it!  Andrea is off today.  Hope that you're having a great day!

 (Right) When I look at Zaria (white) in all of her playfulness, I can't help but think what this girl could do, if she had a trapeze, tight rope and a few swings to sway on... This girl would be able to do anything that a monkey or a bear could be taught to do... She's having a romping good time.. as per her usual way... My little gorgeous ZarZarBean...You go girl!!

(Left) Yes, that's our little cutie Holly (black) again.. If I don't spot her in the phone booth, I always check inside the haybails... She loves curling up inside one of them and snoozin' the afternoon away... She's doing great and will be staying on with us til next week...

(Right) I couldn't resist getting a shot of our handsome Ivan the Great! (grey)... I had to rescue Andrea this week from an Ivan 'sit in'...It's a grey kitty thing... If they see you leaning over to do something or pick up something, they see that as an open invitation to curl up between your shoulder blades and have a rest, a look or a nap.. This little boy went home yesterday and was joyously greeted at the door, whilst still inside of his carrier, by one of the big playful pups that live in his house... When I say 'big'.. I mean substantially bigger than this furry pouch....

Just found out that it's little Miss Boo's 5th Birthday today!

(Left) Isn't technology a magical thing?!  I found out today, from the other side of the world...  that it's Suzie Q's (tortoise shell) Birthday today... I usually call her Suzie Wouzie... but, word has it that she also goes by Boo.... Any which way that you want to say it... this gorgeous girl is turning 5 today...  Her folks wanted to pass along a big hug and kiss for their special cutie today... I think that she heard them, cause she B-lined over to me, after I read their email, and was very schmoozie with me... Maybe Schmoozie Suzie would work too!  Happy Birthday my little Suzie Wouzie Girl!

 (Right) I found our handsome boy Oskar (OciCat) following the sunshine, on the floor this morning, so I set him up with a big soft pillow.... He couldn't refuse that....just like Marcel (grey/white) couldn't resist keeping him company!  I'm not so sure that Oskar was fishing for company just then.... I think the pillow would've sufficed.... You just too friendly Marcello....!

(Left) How about handsome, friendly... and chatty!  all rolled into one... Yep.  That's our little Chouie (orange/white) for ya!  He returned yesterday and is chatting up one of his regular storms already... Yes.  That's right... from the top of the airplane... One's voice carries further apparantly, if sounded from a high vantage point... His moms won't have to miss the 5am wake up call from this little guy... not from where they are anyway... Same thing.. but, completely different!

(Right) Our adorable Feline (dark tabby) is still with us for a couple more weeks... By the time she goes home, it'll be glorious outside.... She's doing great, and is always up for a neck scratching... If I happen to forget, she will come and remind me.... I'm fine with that Feline!  You know where to find me!

The 'Geese Watching' should begin any day now!

(Left) There's our boy Bootsie (orange tabby)... He can be very quiet and calm... sometimes, you forget that he's even there, watching you from the top of the bird house, the space ship or loft... until that is, he decides to play in your hair, as you walk past... He's a charmer.  He arrived yesterday and will be vacationing with us for a bit longer than on his previous holidays...

 (Right) Callie (calico) isn't one to let you forget that she's near by... I have the while ankles to prove that.... as she loves weaving her silky white coat in between and around my ankles... She's enjoying all of the extra activity, as we continue with our re-design... things not where they should be, other things actually gone!.. It's all good!  She is a very happy, adaptable little cutie...

(Left) More cuteness to fill the B&B walls.. Our adorable Sophie (dark tabby) arrived yesterday too... Right onto the airplane, that's where you'll find her most afternoons... This playful girl is having a great time with Melodie, Ivan and Zaria... or, just about anyone that decides to board her plane and buckle in with her... She sends out a big Hiya to her folks... 'You gotta bring me back some pics of the exotic fishies down there!   I want to hear all about them!

(Right) My gorgeous Gingko Maria (black) has a radar detection device built right in, when it comes to finding the big, fresh pile of laundered kitty bedding... As fast as you can say 'Door Bell' or 'Phone Call', she's sought it out and claimed it as her own... Guess we all have our Creature Comforts... this just happens to be one of hers.

Ozzie, Aussie... Osci....What's that!?

 (Left) Well, Jasper (black) has certainly enjoyed his weekend, playing with Marcel, Suzie Q and even Callie, on occasion. This little athlete bounds from one high place/ structure, to the next... I often find him watching me, at my eye level, as I go about my day.  We will see him again next month... when the whole gang is gonna be back for an Easter Mouse hunt.... Oh Boy!

 (Right) Our handsome friend Marcel (grey/white).... or Marcello, as I always call him... is a laid back, social boy...It's funny cause I've spoken with 2 different customers today already, who mentioned interest in adopting either a black/white or grey/white patched 2nd kitty, for their playful, social original young cats... As I mentioned to them, this color is usually a very safe bet, as long as they aren't overly shy, because that personality trait would just end up frustrating their first playful cat, who wants a play companion... If they get another 'Marcello', they'll all be laughing!

(Left) Let me introduce the first OciCat (brown spotted) that we've met at the Pet B&B... This handsome little lad is named Oskar... I was curious about the breed and found out that they are an Abysinnian and Siamese mix, which produces a spotted kitty, in the 2nd generation.  His mom says he's very puppyish, which is also a breed characteristic... He's doing great and has decided that the lower corner bunk beds, are his favorite snoozin spot, thus far... I'll have to try him out and see if he'll play fetch with me!  He's a sweetheart...

(Right) More adorable kitties... this time a crazy, energy packed girlie girl... Melodie (tortoise shell).. not to be confused with Melanie (that would be me)!  Although, we do share a few commonalities...!  Can this little Miss ever play!  She's having fun with Zaria, Ivan and Alley, mostly... I know she'll end up playing with Sophie too, once she arrives, later today....

Just a moment... I think there is something wrong with my camera! Everything's gone askew!

(Left) 'You know.... sometimes I just like to look at the world from a new perspective... it expands my consciousness and challenges my mental constructs of What Is....'  Oh Romeo (dark tabby), have you been dabbling in Buddhism again!?  I must get your take on 'parallel worlds'! This handsome little charmer seems like a renewed, more evolved version of the old Romeo, that I last saw in the fall of 2010.... I don't know what you're doing or reading, my friend.... but it's definitely working!  Keep up the great work!

 (Right) Not to be outdone by her brother, Romeo... Catou (dark tabby/white) has become even more of a schmooze....If that's even possible!  You know what?  I knew you two were siblings.... No, not because you have the same striped, furry pants on.... No, there's something else... a certain 'je ne sais quoi' ... about the 2 of you!  I just knew!

(Left) Always the sun worshipper... our gorgeous girl Alley (dark tabby) is never far from our big sun filled windows, on days like this... Her sister Naomi shares her delight of beautiful weather.. and is oft times overhead, above where Alley is sleeping, up in the airplane... These girls are happy that the longer days have arrived... All that extra Vitamin D... just watch that you don't sunburn your nose, my little girl! Both girls send out a big heart felt 'Hiya Mom... We're proud of you!'

(Right) Tessie Wessie (dark tabby) has arrived for a few days of 'Kitty Camp'... because, according to her folks, she just looks so bored being shut inside, during her stay in town... This little Miss is now a country girl...and loving it... but, for those occasional times that she must stay in the city, she loves to come and 'Be a Cat'... at the Pet B&B... Ya, just like this!  Tess is one playful kitty!

With sunshine comes smiles....

(Left) We haven't seen this handsome little face for a bit... our boy Marcel (grey/white) arrived this week.  He was a bit shy for his first day or so... I would find him snoozin underneath one of the big pillows... He still likes to sleep like that sometimes, but the rest of the time, he's on tour... He loves the company of the other cats and is often accompanied, on the loft, with one of his buddies...

 (Right) We've finally decided on the design for the big wide open work space that I've created, on the first floor, directly behind where our gorgeous little girl Zaria (white) is lounging... If you look back in some of the recent pics, you'll see that my 'Bridges' are a very popular feature at the B&B... Good thing then, that my new design will be incorporating quite a few more of them... with an 'Elevator'... Shhh!  That's all I can tell you for now!

(Left) More 'contortion' kitties... Our adorable girl JoJo (black/white) had a great time on her last holiday. Can you tell?  She left earlier this week. She's young, goofy, energetic and.... comes with a rubber spine, from the looks of things.... No, no... she can walk and talk,  just like a normal kitty.... She's a cutie!

(Right) It used to be, that when the handsome brothers Wolfgang (grey/white, left) and Sharpe (grey/white/right) tried to engage BigBird1 in a little play time, they would get up, right tight to his window, and try to charm him out... With age comes widom, they say... Who said that?!  It musta been a cat!  These athletic little charmers are having so much fun on their spring break.... and, Tessie arrived this morning... She's always into playing! Yippee!

But, but, but.... I thought it was Spring now!

(Left) Here are a couple of adorable kitties that were happy to spend their day inside... That's our handsome boy Ivan (grey), making himself comfortable, on the bridge.. and that's our gorgeous friend Feline, back for another visit.. She'll be staying on longer this time, than her previous holidays... All in all, a rather busy day...but these guys took it all in stride!

 (Right) There's my little beauty Gooey... (grey/white)... I had to do a bit of climbing to snap this pic of Magoo, just now... guess I should track that ladder down... I know it's upstairs somewhere, in our 'construction zone', in the back room... She was amused to see me climb and hanging onto the mini staircase that she uses, to get up here.... As long as I made  you smile... it's all good Gooey!

(Left) Another of my cuties that is always wearing a 'smile'... Maman (grey/white tabby) even sports an ear to ear grin... especially when she's playing with Baby Beluge (Beta fish) or BigBird2.... Playtime never ends with this little girl... or her daughter Catou... No Mommy!  We can't let BigBird out for more exercise!  Nice try though!

(Right) 'Holly Hannah!  Do my eyes deceive me!?!'... Suzie Q (tortoise shell) had to stop for a serious look, when the huge snow flakes started this morning.... 'Yes, mom & dad... You left just in time!'  Our gorgeous girl here is back for another action packed and exercise packed holiday... Who needs the Himalayans... we got plenty to climb right here! 

Sooo many youngsters in this weekend... Lets just call it a late St. Patty's day party!

 (Left) Well, Catou (white/dark tabby), her brother Romeo (below) and mother, Maman,  arrived this am... Yah! no accidents in the car today... they did each take a mad dash for the litter boxes as soon as they arrived though... all accidents averted... That always makes for a happier kitty, on arrival... Here, our little princess hangs out with big black kitty, Jake.... Let the weekend begin!

 (Right) Yes, this is our 'very shy' girl See-Saw.... I caught her, mid action, jumping out of the airplane... and onto the stairs, that lead to the loft.... I noticed her in the airplane, for the first time, yesterday... She is a gorgeous little girl....and loves kids too... You can't see from this angle, but her sister Tango is stretched out on the top level of the plane, during this picture...

(Left) Well, JoJo (black/white) wasn't quite ready for the 'friendliness' that is our boy Sharpe (grey/white)... He was being his usual hamm for the camera.. then, she jumped onto the bus... he got up, went over and head butt-ed her.... He head butts everyone and everything... he's such a schmooze!  Each day, our girl JoJo gets more involved and playful with the other kitties... she's having a ball!

(Right) Our handsome little prince Romeo (dark tabby) has indeed 'filled out' since we saw him last fall... even his feet have gotten bigger... which is super cute, because he does his little 'prancing pony' routine, where, instead of kneading the ground with just his two front paws, he does it with all 4.... Here's another head butt-er for my collection...

Creatures of Habit.... Aren't we all?!

 (Left) Our handsome charmer Eclipse (black) is no stranger to the Pet B&B... He's having a great time playing with Noel, Jak and Tango... He has always loved passing his spare time, sitting on top of BigBird2's house, just like this... BigBird will regularly fly over to chat with him...

 (Right) There's our handsome little Dimitri (orange tabby)... back for another shortish visit.. we'll see him again though, later next week... He, is also a kitty of habit.. He loves his big pillows on top of the loft... He's often accompanied, up there, by his dear friend Gingko Maria, who loves to sleep on the far right cat sized beds... I always seem to wake this little cutie, for his pics...

(Left) More favorite spots.... Jak (dark tabby/white) is always seen lounging in his favorite hot air balloon... He is a great explorer and adventurer.. but, for snoozin', he's here!  ... and, he loves to give me a little squint, just as I click the camera shutter..

 (Right) That is our gorgeous girl Ginny (black) hanging out in the rocket, once again... yes, that's right, another kitty of habit... Just so that all of these regular kitties don't risk getting bored, we are in the early stages of yet another B&B makeover... with lots of new toys, climbing and hiding structures... already on their way.... I think I'm even more excited than the kitties are, to see them all...!

(Left) Just as Augustine's (dark tabby) mom was picking up her little beauty, here.... we couldn't resist snapping this 'oh so comfy' shot of her, hangiing out with 'Fluffy'... (I just made that up... oddly enough, I haven't given the stuffed animals nick-names... hmm, how unusual for me!) .. I think Augi was just itching for a little canine comaraderie... She does live with 2 rather big puppies, at home.... Guess she was thinking about them on her vacation...

Meet the latest addition to our B&B family.... Baby Beluga!

(Above) Well, we already know how much Callie (calico) loves her fishy friends.... So, it was no surprise at all, that she was the first kitty to rush right over this afternoon, as soon as I introduced Baby Beluga, our handsome blue Beta fish, to our aquarium....

(Above) She was the first kitty to offer to shake his hand... A sweet, welcoming gesture... right Cal!

(Above) She really wanted to get a good look at him, from all angles. She also wanted to ask the zebra Danios what they though of their new Aqua mate..... But alas, they had 'No Comment At this Time'.... Press Conference to be held at 0900 hrs, Thursday...

(Left) She thought that this was quite the tricky boy... cause he could turn himself into 2 Betas, when he wanted to... The one that was in front of her eyes, and the other one that was swimming along the other wall of the tank... and then, there was only one again.... Maybe it's just a tricky fish tank, Cal!  I'm sure that she'll keep an eye on him... in case she finds three of him, next time that she checks in.....

Tues March 15, and all is well...

(Above) Let me introduce one of our handsome newbies... This big black kitty is Jake.  He's a charmer.... he loves being around people and getting loads of attention... He's also a bit of a talker...  We seem to have quite a few of those in right now.... Oh.  Ok Chouie!  I'll be there in a minute!

(Above) I would never recommend that any of my kitty friends lie across a bridge like this... but, at the B&B, it's actually a very safe & enjoyable thing to do... JoJo (black/white) and Misha (grey) were hanging out earlier this afternoon... These 2 have been playing tag for days... They will both be pleasantly surprised when Sharpe & his brother Wolfgang arrive later this week... Those 2 boys should help fill any 'play gaps' that Caruso's departure, earlier today, has left.

(Left Above) There's my JanieBean (dark tabby).. This gorgeous girl is very agreeable, when you take pics of her... She likes being a hamm for the camera.. She also arrived this week and has been busy re-acquainting herself with BigBird1 again..  We hope that her mom is staying plenty warm, where she is this week...



(Right) More newbies... This handsome little boy arrived earlier today.. Wolf (grey) will be vacationing with us for a bit.  So far, he's very schmoozie... Just like all of my other schmoozie grey kitties, that are in right now... And, another grey kitty arrives on Friday.. Ella is back for another play group workout... Welcome Wolf.  Nice to meet you!

Let the sun shine on in........

(Above) As the age of fax machines fades into the sunset... I guess that not every kitty has met one before.... It's a bird, it's a plane... it's a piece of blank paper... chasing after me!  Our gorgeous girl Tango (black) arrived last week with her sister See-Saw (below) for the first time... This little Miss is undersold with the name Tango.... She can Salsa, ChaCha, Meringue... you name it... especially if she's twirling with one of her buddies.... This is one social kitty...

(Above) Right up there, among Tango's friends, is Noel (grey)... She's taking the long approach, to investigating the 'possible intruder'.... You too cute Noel!  Omg, these girls have so much fun with Bella Bengal... and yes, even See-Saw... So many crazy, playful kitties coming tomorrow, and each day all week... Hee Haw!

(Above) More adorable grey kitties for our collection... This handsome big lad is Ivan... As you can see, so far, Ivan loves height... he also loves his neck scratches.... He was still a bit shy this weekend, after arriving on Friday... but, that's normal, cause I had plenty of goofy, playful youngsters on the first floor with him... 3 gorgeous solid greys in at the moment... with another one coming in tomorrow... all of varying sizes.... I could line them all up like Dutch dolls.... but, I doubt that they would stay long enough for a pic.

(Right) In the forefront, we have another gorgeous newbie, See-Saw (dark tabby)... now this big girl was billed to me, as a shy and not so happy cat, around other felines... I haven't seen any sign of that yet... Still waiting!  She is such a schmooze and head butt-er... she was a bit shy her first day, but now I find her motoring all over the place... From the description that I was given, I thought she'd probably hang out in the kitchen lower cabinets... She's not havin' any of that... She loves to be where the action is... thank you very much!!  She's pictured here with Noel (grey) and baby Bella Bengal....

'M' is for Meow!

(Above) My handsome friend Mushu (dark tabby) arrived again this morning.  He knows that his folks are off celebrating Grandma's Birthday and wanted to pass along his own personal greetings too, even though he can't be with you all this weekend... Meow Meow Grandma!!! Have a great time this weekend!

(Above) Two of my special bunnies arrived this week too.... That's ChouChoune (grey/white) with his sister Mango (brown/white), still inside of their house... These 2 love to tease all of the kitties that are on the first floor, by racing through the hallways and flashing past... or stopping, at the french doors & staring into the group room, at the big, rounded eyes, that are staring back at them.  They sure know how to draw a crowd... They should be charging the cats 'carrots', for the show!

(Above) Another happy 'M' for the collection today... Misha (grey) arrived this morning for the first time... This handsome little lad doesn't waste any time getting down to the important stuff.... At one point he had a ball, a pipe cleaner and a mouse all on the go at the same time... Those furry black pants that you see to the left of the pic, belong to Caruso... These 2 have an action packed weekend ahead...

(Left) Ok.  Let's throw a 'B' into the mix after the Mushu's, Mango's and Misha's.... Our gorgeous girl Bella (dark tabby/white) arrived this morning... she's holidayed with us a few times over the past 2 years... This playful, schmoozie girl should have fun getting to know the other young playful girls... especially Noel and Bella the Bengal.... no, they're not cousins... as far as I know.... Let the party begin...
