Wednesday August 31st.. and all is well!

(Left) Finally, an adorable close-up pic of our girl Ginny (black)... She's been a challenge to get a nice photo of this visit.... Every time that I see her all comfy and cutely stretched out somewhere, she jumps up to come over and see me, before I even get my shot lined up.... I finally convinced her to lie back down this time... and send her family her hallmark belly flash.....They'll know for sure that it's me!!  Even without seeing my blue collar!
(Right) An adorable newbie... yes, another dark tabby, little 13 month old girl Coquelicot returned home today.  She was rather shy her first couple of days, and by Monday, had 'found her feet' and become completely intertwined with mine, especially in the morning... She's real gentle and sweet and rather liked having other feline company, once she got adjusted to her new surroundings.
(Left) Once Coquelicot (dark tabby) began to explore the whole space, there was no stopping her... She loved height and was spotted the last few days on the ferris wheel, in the airplane and up in her favorite tree house... I didn't know it, but Coquelicot means 'Poppy', the flower, in french... she certainly is bright, airy and loves her freedom... Story has it that she was found/born on a Military property.  We look forward to seeing her next time...
(Right) More gorgeous kitties.... Sushi (lynx point Siamese) is a handsome charmer.... and, once he's settled in, is an over-the-top hamm!  This isn't a straight on pic of him... he was already in his 'play mode', before he saw the camera...
(Left) Once he gets revved up, Sushi performs his version of a pirouette, but lying side ways across his favorite wicker chair!!... I'm not kidding.. He is well versed in spinning himself in full 360 degree circles, while lying across the chair sideways.... He's ambidextrous too...( I'm not just implying hands here.. I'm talking, he uses his whole body)...  He can do a complete spin one way, then shake it up, and do 2 the other.. He doesn't skip a beat!  He loves to make you laugh...

Lots of Ottawa Kitties on the way....

(Left) There's our handsome boy Sammy (dark tabby) looking a whole lot like Olaf, from last week.... both shy-ish little charmers and each one sooo sweet.  This little Mister returned home only yesterday.  We see him frequently for short little jaunts... once he is familiar with you, he turns into quite the little suck-up....
(Right) How's this handsome little old boy for you.... Percy (fawn/white tabby) is getting on in age... I believe he's 17 years old.  He's very shy and gentle... He prefers a nice dark, quiet corner when people are milling about but he's perfectly fine, albeit shy, with the other kitties.... He just returned home yesterday too...
(Left) My little JanieBeans (dark tabby) is being her usual affectionate self... Did someone say BellyRubs?!? .... I thought I heard BellyRubs!!! Ok Janie.... I'm on it!!  Be there in 5!  This adorable girl fits right in with my other dark tabbies....She'll be staying on a while yet, through the long weekend.  She sends out a big Hiya to her mom & uncle..... Meow!!
(Right) Oh, what a treat!!  Naomi (dark tabby) and her sister Alley (dark tabby) will be getting a surprise visit from their mom tomorrow.... This little purring machine will be running full tilt, the whole time that her mom is here... People often ask me, 'Do you think that they have a good memory?!'  I can guarantee you that they do!  and, not just for things that they know or did..... but also, for things that we do/did, going back years even!  We need to give them all a lot of credit, where a lot of credit is due!  I'm really looking forward to hearing about their mom's trip too!

(Left) How's that for a pint-sized little cupid!  Tiny girl Sylvia (grey/white tabby) returned home with her brother Ebony this afternoon.... Ebony is always a chatty little guy.. This little Miss almost kept pace with him, this visit... boy, she had lots to say!  This cutie loves being up high... she wasn't that keen to come down from her high perch, once her folks arrived to collect her this afternoon.... I think it had more to do with the cat carrier than anything... I'm betting that she's already outside with her brother.... she'll probably have had her fill of the outside by morning time... and be ready to return home to a nice cozy pillow...

You can learn something new every day at the Pet B&B...

(Left) I tried to get a beautiful family portrait this morning of Romeo (dark tabby), his sister Catou (white/dark tabby) and their mother, MommyMommy (grey/white tabby), but the girls weren't havin' it!  All 3 kids love to play & hamm it up for the camera but, it seems,  the girls prefer individualized attention, to the whole group thing.... plus, they know that this is Romeo's favorite tree house....Maybe they just didn't want to encroach on his diggs...
(Right) I could barely get Catou to stay long enough for a photo, let alone a face pic.... Maman wasn't far behind although, before she descended, she did have some fun swatting at Romeo's tail that kept popping through the opening in the 2nd floor, to where she was.... all in fun, of course...
(Left) Alas, there was our handsome charmer Romeo, free to be who he really is..... a big time schmooze!  He did enjoy the little visit from the girls, but he was even happier to get his special treehouse 'castle' back... He does love to be the Man of the House.... or, at least, of His house.....You too cute Romeo!!
(Right) One of our adorable black kitties.... Handsome boy Ebony is a chatty, social boy.... It's interesting to watch him groom himself... he sometimes has his claws slightly protruding when he washes his furry little face... it amounts to what seems to be a little neck and chin scratching while he gets himself tidied up... How clever is that... Who needs a 2-legged around all the time to provide regular neck scratches.... Ebony & his sister Sylvia are scheduled to return home this week.
(Left) Zoe (dark tabby/top bird house) and Kenai (choc point Ragdoll) had fun with their furry purple wand toy.... Once again, who needs one of  those 2-leggeds around, when you can happily play chase/catch the wand, with one of your furry pals... They played at this about half an hour... Our big boy Sweetness (Siberian), has visited many times... and played this game, almost as often.... All of their activity couldn't coax him to look up from his big bowl of munchies... Sweetie knows... there's a time to play.... and, there's a time for nourishment!  It's all about maintaining a proper Balance!!!   Got it, Sweetness!!  Think I'll write that one down!  Words of profound wisdom, from one of my old friends....

DaDaDaDa..... that's my weekend drum roll!

(Left) Our long time friend GizzieWizzie (grey/white) and his brother Simba stopped in for a shortish visit this past week... Gizmo loves his window  benches and corner bunk beds... He and Jama would jockey for the top bunk... it all depended on who tuckered out and retired first, in the late morning... Gizmo never gets too disappointed if he doesn't get that top spot.. there's always his favorite spaceship waiting for him, at just those moments...
(Right) Ok.  Well, Mushushu (dark tabby) isn't a huge fan of the camera, I already knew that... but he will tolerate it if you ask him nicely.. This handsome little boy returned home this week... He's doing great and hopes that his folks had a fine time on their holiday too!  See you soon!
(Left) Looking very relaxed in her favorite hay bail, Alice (black) can peruse the great outdoors and play 'invisible' with any new people, all at the same time, from the comfort of this hide-out... This gorgeous girl is returning home next week... and we're planning to see her again this fall for an extended holiday...

(Right) A couple of our very familiar furry faces to admire... Charmer Simba (fawn/white) and adorable Catoutou (dark tabby/white), have met many a time at the B&B... Both kitties know every inch of this place... they have the map memorized in their minds.... 'how many steps to the top, all the entrances and exits and features, of each play structure... They will be pleased to learn that it's almost 'building time'... at the B&B... time to shake it all up, just a bit... They both love those kind of surprises....
(Left) Andrea gave our handsome Mickey (dark tabby/white) a new cat nip toy yesterday and has reported that he's still playing with it.... Just  because some of our furry friends are getting a bit older, doesn't mean that they've forgotten how to be a kitten... You GO Mickey!! You too cute!

As the summer holidays come to an end, the autumn holidays commence...

(Left) Our gorgeous newbie Jama (grey) is still on vacation at the B&B.  The airplane has become one of her favorite play structures... for, well, what else?  Playing of course!  She's quite young.  I think her mom is gonna find think that she's grown since she arrived...  She's a cutie!
(Right) Yes, that's another familiar face from this summer.... Alley (tortoise shell) and her sister Storm arrived again this week... This girl loves lazing across the sunny window benches...She's pretty much started off this visit with where she left off her last extended one... chatting a lot and enjoying her neck scratches and head patts.....
(Left) Another of our smaller girls.... LeannaBanana (dark tabby) and her sister Carabelle, from yesterday, returned home this week... Leanna usually starts out a bit shy but certainly doesn't stay that way for long... She loves attention too... like most of my furry guests... She hung out mostly on the bunk beds this visit.
(Left) Thought I'd throw in a classic Jojo (black/white) shot for the family... not that they don't see this every hour of every day.... She loves to play and make people laugh while she does it... That's our adorable newbie Tiger (calico) again, towards the back of the pic, up on the bridge....
(Left) How's that for sibling love!  Our handsome boy Olaf (dark tabby) and his younger sister Cajsa (black/white) spend a lot of their time doing separate activities, and then the rest of the time, they snuggle up closely together and tell each other animal stories... You know... 'the sparrow that got away.... 'what life was like when Olaf was just a young boy'.... sharing, sharing, sharing... I'm sure that they are outside right now, doing more of the same, in a big, live maple tree somewhere.... Look forward to seeing you soon, little Bears!

Ottawa Cats... Oh My!!!

(Left) There's our gorgeous girl MommyMommy (grey/white tabby).... She and her little munchkins Romeo & Catoutou are visiting for a late summer vacation.... Yes, that's our handsome boy Kenai (choc point Ragdoll) again... He does get around!!  These 2 kitties are extremely social and schmoozie.... This picture was taken close to lunch time... when they were winding down and thinkin about a snooze... otherwise, the rest of the time, you find them on tour....
(Right) My camera shutter speed was just a tad to slow to catch Eclipse (black) scaling the rocket, to the top.... one more pull with the front claws, and I'm there!  He needs to get to the top of the scratching post you see, cause he knows that BigBird2 will be having his lunch and/or bath shortly.... He loves to win the front row seat for this regular event.... Our handsome Clippers is staying on through the weekend... always fun having him in...
(Left) It's been some time since we saw our pint sized little girl DeeDee (tortoise shell)... I think her facial markings are adorable.... So far, we find her mostly on the window benches or hanging out on the corner bunk beds... She's a bit shy when there's a lot of activity but very sweet and gentle....
(Right) Stormie (dark tabby/white) and her sister Alley returned earlier today.... She honed right in on her favorite play structure and immediately resumed her classic pose.. That's our gorgeous girl GinGinny (black) up on the loft, enjoying one of my cat sized beds... She gets lots of company up there... Both of these girls will also be staying on through the weekend.....
(Left) Adorable Calicos Tammy (top) and newbie Madeleine (lower), both love climbing and surveilling the room, from the stair structure.... They can watch and participate in so much morning activity and entertainment from this well positioned look out point... Yes, that's our handsome Eclipse (black) again.. not unusual to find him charmin' the ladies....

More summer time postcards for moms & dads...

(Left) Our resident charmer BigBird2 can always bring the curiosity and play out of our furry friends... He enjoys being the 'gel' factor that gets everyone up and mingling.... That's our adorable girl Madeleine (calico).  It's her first visit... Brothers Kenai (chocolate point Ragdoll) and Stanley (grey/white tabby), were mesmerized by our feathered friend... Stanley is a bit harder to see, he's watching in from the far left side of the bird house....
(Right) Kinda like climbing the bean stocks... Our handsome boy Felix (black/white) went in search of our adorable girl Rhuby (orange tabby).... He'd heard what a character she is and went to see for himself.... These 2 kids are visiting, each for the 2nd time.... They are both scheduled to return home later this week.... They're having fun getting to meet so many playful kitties.... just like them!
(Left) Oh Carabelle (torbi) !!  I know, I know, I should've knocked first... sorry about that.... I didn't mean to ambush you with the camera, when you were all snuggled up in your favorite hay bail for an afternoon snooze.... I promise... I'll knock first, the next time... or sing... on 2nd thought... Think I'll just knock... you may have a different expression on your face if I start singin!!  OK!  Back to doedoes....
(Right) When the gangs all awake.... Hmm, lets see... We have first timers Oliver (orange tabby/top left) and his sister Tiger (muted calico/bridges).... They both love height.... Our adorable girl Jojo (black/white) adores her favorite spot... atop the hippie bus... abundant room to roll about with her feet in the air... Then we have gorgeous girls Janie Beans (dark tabby/middle bunk) and Alley (dark tabby/lower bunks).... Lucky Oliver!  So many little female beauties to admire.... My, how your days must fly by.....
(Left) Never to be outdone by her playful, rambunctious piers.... our gorgeous girl NoelWella (grey)... or, just Noel, for short.... (just kidding, it's the other way around)... If she can be at your eye level or above you, all day long, she'd be in her bliss!  Noel returned home earlier this week.... I'm sure she's up in a tree somewhere, as I type.... Til next time...!

Let the Weekend Begin!

(Left) Handsome boy Stanley (grey/white tabby) only just arrived this morning with his sister Bailey and brother Kenai, and off he sped, up the high staircase, to meet our gorgeous girl Ginny (black), at the top.  Stanley and his siblings are visiting for the 2nd time, and all 3 had clear memories of where they'd find their favorite spaces.  Our GinGinny girl visits us regularly and has already met many of our current guests... These 2 should have fun getting to know each other better this weekend....
(Right) Speaking of Bailey (muted calico), sister to Stanley, above... she also wasted no time going 'on tour' shortly after they arrived this morning.... She crossed paths with our handsome friend Felix (black/white), over by BigBird2's house... Felix loves to keep him company... We have many arrivals today... lots of cuties getting unpacked and settled in.... There shall be many adorable faces at the buffet line ups tonight!  Eat, Drink and be Social.... You wouldn't expect less from a perfect Holiday...
(Left) Mr Mox!  My handsome old friend Moxie (dark tabby/white) popped in for a surprise visit, this past week.  He returned home just this afternoon... He's getting older, but I find that he's looking perkier his last 2 visits.. more chatty and out going.... It's always great to get to hang out with him!
(Right) Peek-a-boo... MoeMoe, is that you?!  I still have so many black & whites in right now.... The last month has been a non-stop parade of little Tuxedo'd boys and girls.... Moe has already returned home with his brother Schmellow.... We usually see them a couple of times a year.. This little charmer is shy but sweet and friendly once he knows you a bit... Both brothers had another fun vacation....'til next time, my furry little friends....
(Left) Does this little headbutt-er ooze Schmooze!!!  Hummer (orange/white tabby, front) was being a hamm for the camera this afternoon... Our handsome boy Simba (fawn/white tabby) is passed out on the cat sized bed, to the back of the picture... This is a typical Simba pose, too... Those orange & white kitties..... Guess they're just taking turns or shifts, at being too cute!

Summer's not over yet boys & girls.....

(Left) More marshmallow gooeyness.... TobyTobias (grey/white) and Lionel (dark tabby) are back once more... Both of these boys have visited us in the past... They are from difference homes and get along very nicely.. They are both big... very big, on affection... Lionel is a wee bit shy but that never stops him from asking for neck scratches.....They will be staying on with us til next week....
(Right) PheobieDo (dark tabby/white) and Simon, her brother, from yesterday, had a nice visit with us again.  These 2 are neighbours of Alice (black), who will be arriving later this week.  Pheobe isn't the social butterfly that her brother is but I think she secretly craves people attention more than he does... Simon will fill his daily attention quota any which way that he can... cats, kids, puppies. It's all good as far as he's concerned!
(Left) Speaking of belly rubs.... Our adorable Bella (dark tabby) can be shy with strangers, but wow, you should see how out going and smoochie she is with the young people of the home...She's visited many times in the few years that they have had her... She's a cutie... Just don't tell anyone, or they'll know that she's there!
(Right) Girls, girls, girls..... Gorgeous girl Jama (grey) had fun with Mia (calico) and the gang... Kicia (dark tabby/white) is harder to see in the picture... She's towards the back of the pic, on the top of the stair structure... Kicia likes to do her own thing... You'll find her on a couple of different perches and in various hang outs.....
The two younger girls, Jama & Mia, can be spotted any where that you look... Kicia and Mia returned home earlier this week... Our girl Jama will be staying on for a bit.... She sends out a hearty  Ciao Mamma!, on this gorgeous summers day....
(Left) This little beauty is Sandy (dark tabby)... She's been B&Bing for the past couple of weeks... She loves to recline on the FlowerPower structure, often with Tammy (calico) beneath, on the inside.... Most cats do develop favorite spots that they gravitate to.... depending on availability, of course....

Gearing up for another busy weekend....

(Left) More black & white cuties... Pippins stands out among the many black & white guests at the B&B.... He's a tall, handsome, medium haired boy... always wide eyed and loves human attention, anytime of the day... He's still with us for a bit longer and is expected to return home next week.....He sends out a big Hi Guys!  to his family.... Can't wait to see everyone next week...
(Right) It was difficult to see our handsome boy Sulley (dark tabby) from the picture, the other day... Here he is again, as usual, in the airplane... He's had many passengers come and go from his favorite airplane over the past week... He's a bit on the quiet side... he loves to watch what's going on...
(Left) Another of our marshmallow kitties... Simon (fawn/white tabby) and his sister Pheobe visited us for a summer holiday... they're both returning again real soon..... we'll call that a pre-fall holiday...Sounds like this little tyke has charmed two of the neighbourhood's youngsters (2 leggeds).... I'm not surprised... he can be quite the schmooze...
(Right) Our adorable girls Sissi (dark tabby/white) and Menou K (muted torti) had many a full day of romping around chasing each other's tails, just like Menou is doing here.... Sissi and her older brother Frimousse returned home this week, as did Menou K.  They're probably still trying to catch up their sleep, from all of the extra exercise.. It was the first visit for both girls.
(Left) There's my handsome Baloulou (dark tabby/white)... He does look a lot like PercyPerceus.... who also visits us regularly... Balou returned home earlier this week and we expect him back again this week... and then a few more times in the coming months.... It's always great to see this little guy...
