(Left) I tried to get a beautiful family portrait this morning of Romeo (dark tabby), his sister Catou (white/dark tabby) and their mother, MommyMommy (grey/white tabby), but the girls weren't havin' it! All 3 kids love to play & hamm it up for the camera but, it seems, the girls prefer individualized attention, to the whole group thing.... plus, they know that this is Romeo's favorite tree house....Maybe they just didn't want to encroach on his diggs...
(Right) I could barely get Catou to stay long enough for a photo, let alone a face pic.... Maman wasn't far behind although, before she descended, she did have some fun swatting at Romeo's tail that kept popping through the opening in the 2nd floor, to where she was.... all in fun, of course...
(Left) Alas, there was our handsome charmer Romeo, free to be who he really is..... a big time schmooze! He did enjoy the little visit from the girls, but he was even happier to get his special treehouse 'castle' back... He does love to be the Man of the House.... or, at least, of His house.....You too cute Romeo!!
(Right) One of our adorable black kitties.... Handsome boy Ebony is a chatty, social boy.... It's interesting to watch him groom himself... he sometimes has his claws slightly protruding when he washes his furry little face... it amounts to what seems to be a little neck and chin scratching while he gets himself tidied up... How clever is that... Who needs a 2-legged around all the time to provide regular neck scratches.... Ebony & his sister Sylvia are scheduled to return home this week.
(Left) Zoe (dark tabby/top bird house) and Kenai (choc point Ragdoll) had fun with their furry purple wand toy.... Once again, who needs one of those 2-leggeds around, when you can happily play chase/catch the wand, with one of your furry pals... They played at this about half an hour... Our big boy Sweetness (Siberian), has visited many times... and played this game, almost as often.... All of their activity couldn't coax him to look up from his big bowl of munchies... Sweetie knows... there's a time to play.... and, there's a time for nourishment! It's all about maintaining a proper Balance!!! Got it, Sweetness!! Think I'll write that one down! Words of profound wisdom, from one of my old friends....
